Painsmith Raznal. Fatescribe Roh-Kalo. Guardian of the First Ones. Sylvanas Windrunner. As soon as Occu'thar start throwing Gaze of Occu'thar , the band group should be separated into small groups. Why divide the band group into small sub-groups?

It is simple, when it returns to phase 1, instead of two, there will be three Focused fire that the boss will launch, and in this way we will all buy time to escape from the rays. Helpers : A Eye of Occu'thar for each member of the group not counting pets, minions, images, etc. The Eye will attack that person with a laser. This beam deals This means that if there are 10 players and all eyes are alive and explode, it will be , damage for 10 seconds, for the entire raid group, and immediately another That is why it is necessary to perform the highest DPS on it and destroy it as soon as possible.

In short, you have 10 seconds to do all possible AoE damage to kill all adds. NOTE: Faking death, invisibility, ice block, divine shield, etc does not work; You will have an add for you yes or yes. What to do? The area damage will be more effective if the adds are grouped and killed at the same time, there is no need to worry if 1 or 2 survive, but the important thing is to kill the adds as quickly as possible.

As you can see, this boss follows the same pattern set by previous Baradin Hold bosses of an easy and straightforward fight, one that can easily be performed even by less organized pick-up groups. This guide applies to patch 4. Click here. Then we AOE'd and then split up again.

Only 1 person would take damage and we would only have to rely on 1 person moving rather than the entire raid. The spread out method is much better and much safer. Comment by vey Hunter tip: you can't shoot your own Eye, so make sure to target another person's.

Back up a bit out of the swarm of people so you can Multi-shot. Comment by Hunters: If you FD, the eye attacking you will disappear. Which lets you just attack the other ones.

Comment by Kathucka How I did it: Mark a collapse point in the middle of the room. Mark tank positions on left and right. Tanks blow cooldowns and swap on breath. Everyone else, spread out. Don't stand on the collapse point, as you don't want fire there. When he starts to summon the eyes, everyone but the current tank and hunters run to the collapse point. Hunters feign death to dispel the eye. Start AoE before the eyes come. Spread out again when they're dead.

That's it. Works great, no dance to learn, and very little raid damage. You can two-heal it this way on man. Comment by unconfirmed, but when a hunter uses feign death when they have an eye on them, the eye will dissappear. Comment by It may go without saying, but Occu'thar proves yet again how invaluable for tanks at least Mirror of Broken Images is.

Comment by DKs are really useful on this boss to aoe down eyes fast. Only one ground mark needs to be placed on the ground to let MT starts the fight. The best place is at the right side of the room against the wall parallels to the boss.

Let OT work with MT on their swapping. Raid master should give one of the healers a mark on its head. Once pulling, all dps and healers run toward and spread out around the boss's tail. Two tanks will make sure the boss doesn't face the raid. As soon as the boss starts casting the eyes thingy, everyone should stack with the marked healer except tanks unless one of the tanks has enough time before the next firebreath and aoe down eyes fast.

Healers can use aoe healing while stacking, otherwise save your mana. The whole fight won't be needing too much big single target healing, so use small heals or multi-target healing such as chain heal if you run out of focus fire ASAP and dps down eyes properly.

Fun raiding! Comment by pezz There are basically two ways to handle focus fire and transition into positioning for the eyes phase. You can either spread the raid out and make it such that only one or two people ever move out of focus fire, then collapse when Occu'thar starts casting the eyes.

Alternatively you can keep everyone stacked, pick a direction to always strafe around in when focus fire hits, and you'll be stacked when the eyes come out already. Roughly, here are the pros and cons of each way: Spread out for focus fire pros: Less damage from focus fire.

Constant stack point. No guessing where you'll end up, so you can mark it beforehand. The off-tank will appreciate this. Cons: Loss of DPS running to stack up while Occu'thar is casting the eyes, and then again when spreading back out. If someone at the stack point gets focus fire, you're going to have to scramble to decide on a new point and get everyone there instead. To avoid this, obviously have no one stand at the pre-arranged stack point.

The problem with that, however, is that you probably want the stack point at a fairly central location, so you're sacrificing a lot of good space to work on the boss in. Stack and move in unison pros: The stack point can't possibly have a pre-dropped focus fire on it, since the stack point is wherever the raid happens to be to avoid focus fire in the first place. No loss of DPS running to stack point while Occu'thar is casting. Again, by definition everyone's already there.

Cons: Much more damage from focus fire is unavoidable. If you're targeted by it, it's impossible to move out of it before you take a bit of damage. It's trivial damage when one or two people take one or two ticks well before an eye phase. It's much less trivial when the entire raid takes one or two ticks right before an eye phase. Comment by The most absolute worst raid boss imaginable. Joined them and did nothing but wipe. I'm still LFG at this moment but noone seems at all interested in downing this boss.

I say good luck even finding a group for this let alone beating him. And if you want proof just come to Smolderthorn and watch trade chat. Comment by I feel like the name "Occu'thar" is some sort of extremely vague reference to "I see what you did thar".
