Can you use lacrosse gloves in hockey

High end lacrosse equipment should be fine, I used my lax shoulders for my ACHA college hockey but I would never use the gloves. I was thinking about getting a pair of warrior lacrosse shoulder pads. Would they provide alot more ventilation compared to a pair made specifically for hockey? Yeah, they would provide for more ventilation, but they lack protection IMO.

Lacrosse gear is aimed more towards slashes, not necesarily contact and checking, but if you play in a non-contact or light contact league you should be fine, although I would not recommend it To the OP, I'd use the shoulder pads if they are good ones in a non-check league.

But I'd pick up some hockey gloves, even if they are cheaper. To the above guy, I've shopped around looking at lacrosse shoulders, but I picked up the Sherwood 's and they are amazing. Comparable lacrosse shoulders are twice that much. I'm not sure if you have ever played lacrosse, but lacrosse shoulder pads are made for hitting because there is an immense amount of checking in outdoor lacrosse. I used Warrior Players Club 6. I used to play against a team of guys that were all lacrosse players, and a lot of them wore lacrosse gloves, and the things certainly didn't look like they'd protect you from anything.

Also, those guys were like the dirtiest players who ever lived. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that lacrosse gloves are flexible where as a lot of hockey gloves have lock thumbs that help prevent hyper extension, so you may risk hyper extending your thumbs using lacrosse gloves. Ok, so here is my situation. I've played ice hockey for a while now, and lacrosse for a while but just tossing around in the backyard, etc. Now, I already spend so much money on hockey gear that I'd like to avoid spending a lot on lacrosse gear if I can. I already have: -A lacrosse stick -A lacrosse helmet -Lacrosse gloves -Cleats I believe that the only other things I need are shoulder pads, and elbow pads, is this correct?

If so, can I use my hockey shoulder and elbow pads? A few more questions if I may: -are soccer cleats fine? Thank you a ton for your help! I am pretty sure you are not allowed to wear hockey gear. Yea, you have to wear lacrosse specific equipment that is certified.

Soccer cleats are fne, your gloves are ok, and that is a great choice for a stick. Will refs even see his shoulder pads? Hockey stuff is fine if they can't see it. I know some people who wear hockey shoulder pads for lacrosse. I have also heard of people wearing bauer helmets for lax, but I don't think the helmets are legal. It is not required equipment for field players under PLL rules. Defensive and midfield players should try a longer shaft of 52 to 72 inches. Goalies can have a stick between 40 and 72 inches based on their preference. Every lacrosse game starts with a face-off. In a face-off, players stand with their hands and feet to the ground. Their sticks are laying on the ground in front of them. When the whistle blows, they use their sticks to fight to gain possession of the ball.
