One of the great things about Travelodge is our people so it's great you're already settled as part of the team. Hospitality Is a great industry to work in. Job satisfaction every day, very enjoyable if you have an attitude of gratitude. The working environment is very clean, Safe, staff benefits are good, and it's a good atmosphere amongst the colleagues.

Pros 8 hour shift pattern. Cons Ideally best suited as a second Job, income isn't sufficient as full time employment. Yes No. I generally liked working at travelodge because of the people they are all friendly, helpful and nice. Although the management needs help. They are always understaffed because nobody really stays in the job. They expect u to do to many rooms during the 4 hours shift.

I was absolutely shattered after my shifts every day and they always wanted me to go in on my days off felt like I never had a break and I was always tired. U don't get paid enough at all for the work u have to do.

The wage needs to be hired. Get less than retail assistants do and u do triple the graft they have to. They need to understand people are human and they carnt be overworked I used to get dizzy come the near end of my shift. If they lowered how many rooms they expect u to do and had more staff on then I really couldn't fault this company.

I just could work there any longer as I was way over worked and shattered all the time. Pros Very understanding and friendly staff. Cons Terrible pay. Recently left Travelodge after working there for 6 months.

I was a night receptionist and due to the amount of bedroom in the hotel I was a lone worker. This was fine most of the time and you were able to get your tasks done as long as you had no interruptions. However some nights while trying to do your tasks you would have to stop to come down to reception, or answer the front door, or guests could find their room keys or were up and down in the lifts all night slowing my ability to get anything done.

The guests that used to stay in the hotel as well as the locals were pretty awful. Pros Management were great, team were fantastic. Cons Locals, guests, pay. No days are the same and even tho it runs quite smoothly there and be the oldd hiccup alone the way.

The team I work with make the days fly by and are extremely supportive and is also one of the reason why I really enjoy my job. Pros Great atmosphere, supportive team. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. Ok, but could be better. Worked as a housekeeper for a couple of months, I felt the training was rather lackluster.

Was not enough, I asked for help and they did not give me the support I wanted and needed. The manager was very arrogant and aloof, and the management was all over the place.

Some of the co workers were lovely, but some just talked behind my back badly, knowing I have a disability. Got some experience out of it, like cleaning and customer service skills. Pros Costa discount. Cons Bad management, lackluster training. Long hours, maximum work for minimum pay.

Underhanded upper management and backstabbing right through the company. They will not support the hotel managers and get rid of you if you speak up. Cons Long hours, max work. No support. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Good people. Started off really well. Great management great team of people but the rot sets in quickly. Housekeeping where staying there till 7pm to get rooms finished.

They never put enough staff on so expect to be run off your feet and treated terribly if you finally put your foot down and say, enough is enough. Constant fighting and arguments between departments who all seem to think changing a bed is beneath them. They would much rather let housekeeping kill themselves then get their hands dirty. Almost everyone I started with has gone or are actively looking for other jobs.

Most of the staff were lovely people who just eventually snapped or just stopped caring. The time limits set on rooms are a joke and in the end all that happens is staff start cutting major corners to get it done on time. Honestly you can get better paid jobs much better paid, for less back breaking work and a mountain of stress.

Pros Discount on rooms and food. Good team of fellow workers. Cons Terrible pay for the amount of work you have to do and the way they expect you do to everything. Expect way too much for very little money. Unrealistic room times given to clean rooms. Feel under pressure to clean a double room in 18 minutes and a family room in 25minutes. Pros cheap hotels. Cons everything. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No.

Jobs at Travelodge. Team Member - Hotels - 16 hours per week. Receptionist Team Member - Part Time - 16 hours per week.

Receptionist Team Member - Part Time - 8 hours per week. The team are friendly and supportive of each other, and take pride in their work and making guests feel welcome. Role can be physically demanding so may not suit some.

Good perks via company schemes - discounted Travelodge rooms, mobile phone deals etc. Really good experience. I was working In Travelodge for over 3 years, it was a good experience. I gained many new skills, learned hotel and hospitality duties, and was promoted to the Management Course to improve my qualifications.

I am very grateful, it was my best job where I loved what I'm doing. My team supported me all the time, I never had any problems with holidays and salary.

I really recommend this job if someone wants to grow.
